CONTACT US

The Virtual Museum was established to document and present the history of the Romanian Jews in Romania – their country of origin, in Israel and around the world. We hope that the collections of the Virtual Museum will consist of a comprehensive documentation, representing as broad a perspective as possible on Romanian Jews in their historical, social and cultural contexts.
During the research carried out for the establishment of the museum, we classified thousands of photographs, documents, books, Judaica artifacts, personal effects and works of art to serve as the basis for presentation in the exhibitions, for future research projects and for education.
In many of our homes there are important items connected with Romanian Jewry, Romanian Jews in Israel and throughout the world; items which tell the stories of a people, families, culture and communities.
We appeal to you, the Jews of Romania and your families, to search for any such items that may be in your possession and act to save and preserve them.
If you are aware of the existence of objects / documents related to Romanian Jews in Romania, Israel or anywhere else, in your own family or among your acquaintances, please contact us or send us these scanned items, in order to preserve them and to educate future generations.
Before we returning them to you, we will document them, enter them into the museum’s database and exhibit them in the virtual exhibitions.

The materials that you share with the virtual museum, along with the personal stories that accompany them, play an important role in preserving the memory of Romanian Jewry for all of us.
We are mainly interested in receiving examples of the following types of materials: photographs, family albums, documents, letters, diaries, personal effects, films, Judaica artifacts and works of art by Romanian Jewish artists and Romanian artists on Jewish subjects.
Thank you and we look forward to contacting us, in order to build together a significant edifice for Romanian Jews everywhere, meant to keep our memory alive and deliver to our descendants the values that animated the community of Romanian Jews.
